The 42nd anniversary of Emmaus
October 24, 2009
was celebrated
by the dedication of the Field of Fallen Heroes
This hallowed place was dedicated by
Retired Navy Chaplain
Father Ron Moses Camarda
Father Ron served in the Battle of Fallujah
and is the author of Tear in the Desert
Our first day of planting marked the beginning of our orchard.
An engraved fieldstone in memory of a Fallen Hero
will be placed at the foot of some to each tree.
A Day of Planting will be celebrated
each spring and fall as the orchard is expanded.
